Italy is always a very popular holiday destination and of course having so many different types of tourist attractions and places of interest it can also be a real learning curve steeped with historical information. The most popular form of transport is the Venice water-buses and also of course the famous Gondolas although these can be a little expensive but nevertheless it would be great to experience at least one ride whilst you are there. Even if you do not like boats you can walk around Venice and still capture that romantic feel that this stunning city has although it is recommended that you take at least one boat ride and that is down the Grand Canal at night time because it really is breathtaking.

To an Italian a meal is an enjoyable experience and one to be taken slowly so as to savour every mouthful. Food is very regional in Italy and so it will always depend on where you are as to which local cuisine you can enjoy but one thing is for sure, you will absolutely delight in any of the foods that you sample.
